  • 1 cup Mawa
  • 1/2 cup Coconut freshly grated is best, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Sugar powdered
  • 1/4 cup Cashew Paste homemade or store-bought
  • 1/4 tsp Blue Citrate food-grade blue coloring; adjust to desired intensity

For Garnishing

  • 1/4 cup Cashews chopped, for garnish. almonds may also be used.
  • 2 tbsp Water for adjusting consistency if needed

Prepare the Mawa Mixture

  • Heat a non-stick pan over medium-low heat. Add the mawa and cook, stirring frequently, until it softens and becomes pliable. Add a tablespoon or two of water if needed to prevent sticking.

Combine Ingredients

  • Stir in the powdered sugar, cashew paste, and shredded coconut. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined and the mixture is smooth and even. Add the blue citrate and mix gently until the color is evenly distributed.

Shape and Chill

  • Remove the pan from the heat. Shape the mixture into small, round balls or your preferred shape. Gently press each ball with your palms to flatten slightly.
