Ingredients

- 1 cup Water 1/2 cup boiling, divided; 1/2 cup cold
- 4 packets Unflavored Gelatin
- 1/2 cup Sugar granulated
- 1 cup Apple Juice use a good quality juice for best flavor
- 1 cup Applesauce unsweetened is recommended
- 1-2 drops Food Coloring for a more vibrant color. gel food coloring is recommended for best results., optional, red

- 1 Baking Dish 8x8 inch or similar; silicone molds also work well.
- 1 Cookie Cutter heart-shaped
- Sugar as needed, for dusting, optional, powdered
Instructions
Prepare the Gelatin Mixture
- In a medium bowl, sprinkle the gelatin powder over the 1/2 cup cold water. Let it bloom for about 5 minutes.
Combine and Heat
- Add the 1/2 cup of boiling water and sugar to the bloomed gelatin. Whisk vigorously until the gelatin and sugar are completely dissolved.
Add Fruit Ingredients
- Stir in the apple juice and applesauce. Add red food coloring (if using). Mix until well combined.
Set and Chill
- Pour the mixture into your prepared baking dish. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours, or until completely set. The gummies are ready when they are firm to the touch.
Cut and Serve
- Once set, use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out the gummies. Dust with powdered sugar (optional) and serve immediately. Store leftover gummies in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
