About Fruit Punch Lassi
Fruit Punch Lassi is the ultimate summer refresher—a delightful twist on the classic Indian lassi that blends creamy yogurt with a medley of fresh fruits. Traditionally, lassi is a popular churned curd drink enjoyed across India, sometimes enhanced with aromatic spices like cardamom or saffron. In this version, I wanted to make it even healthier and more vibrant by using up custard apple, papaya, red apple, and banana from my fridge, resulting in a thick, filling, and naturally sweet beverage.
This lassi is not just delicious, but also packed with dietary fiber, potassium, antioxidants, and flavonoids, making it a nourishing choice for any time of the day. Its soothing properties can help promote a healthy digestive tract, whether served at breakfast or as a cooling treat after lunch or dinner. Enjoy my fruity take on this traditional yogurt-based drink and savor the goodness in every sip!

Instructions
- Take a blender with sieve which can remove the residual seeds of custard apples and remove the pulp using this blender. Keep this aside for further use.
- Next take a high speed blender, add papaya pieces, red apple pieces, banana and puree these. Keep this aside.
- Now take a bowl, add yogurt, honey and churn using a wooden churner or wire whisk till honey blends well.
- Now add the cardamom powder, custard apple puree, other fruit puree, churn or mix once.
- Add water if required to adjust the consistency of lassi.
- Pour this fruit punch lassi into serving glass and serve it chilled or as it is.
Recipe Notes
Any fruit combination can be used.
Honey and cardamom can be adjusted as per taste.
Pulp from custard apple can be removed by hands and used directly.
Apple skin can be peeled and used.
Additional Tips
- For an extra creamy texture, try chilling all your fruits and yogurt beforehand—this will help the lassi stay thick and cold without needing to add ice, which can water down the flavors.
- If you’d like more depth or a floral note, add a few drops of rose water or a pinch of saffron soaked in warm milk to the blender before blending.
- To serve as a festive beverage, pour the lassi into glasses and garnish with a sprinkle of chopped pistachios, pomegranate seeds, or edible dried rose petals for both color and crunch.
- For a dairy-free version, substitute coconut or almond yogurt and replace honey with agave syrup or maple syrup; this keeps the punch creamy while making it suitable for vegans.
