Ingredients
For the Pakoras
- 1 Onion finely chopped
- 1 tbsp Coriander Seeds roughly crushed, whole
- 1 cup Gram Flour besan
- 1/2 tsp Chili Powder red
- 1 cup Coriander also known as dhania, finely chopped
- 2 Chili finely chopped, green
- 1.5 tsp Salt or to taste
- Water as needed Water to make a semi-thick batter
For Frying
- 3 cup Vegetable Oil or enough for deep frying
Instructions
Prepare the Batter
- Combine the onion, coriander seeds, chickpea flour, red chili powder, coriander leaves, green chilies, and salt in a large bowl. Gradually add water, mixing until a semi-thick batter is formed. Let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
Fry the Pakoras
- Heat the vegetable oil in a deep, heavy-bottomed pan over medium heat. Once hot, add a tablespoon of the batter to the oil. Fry until golden brown and crispy, turning occasionally. Remove from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate.
Shape and Finish
- While still slightly warm, gently shape each pakora into smaller pakoras. Re-fry the smaller pakoras until they turn golden and crisp.
Serve
- Serve the Sindhi Pakoras hot with your favourite chutney or a side of pav.
