Instructions
Prepare the Dough
- Combine flour, salt, and water to make a smooth dough. Knead for a few minutes and set aside to rest for at least 15 minutes.
Make the Filling
- Heat oil in a pan. Add minced garlic and sauté until lightly pink. Add chopped onions and bell peppers; cook until softened. Stir in paneer, soy sauce, Szechuan sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook until heated through. Remove from heat and let cool completely.
Assemble the Spring Rolls
- Roll out small portions of the dough into thin circles or ovals. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center. Fold the dough over the filling to form a fish shape, making small cuts at the edges to represent fins. Seal the edges tightly.
Fry the Spring Rolls

Serve and Enjoy

Expert Tips for Perfect Fish Spring Rolls
- For extra flavor, marinate the paneer in a mixture of ginger-garlic paste and spices for 30 minutes before adding it to the filling.
- To ensure the dough remains pliable, cover it with a damp cloth while you prepare the filling.
- If you prefer a healthier option, you can bake the spring rolls in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Brush with oil to aid in crisping.
- Get creative with your dipping sauces! Sweet chili sauce, tamarind chutney, or even a simple yogurt-mint dip are all delicious choices.
