Ingredients
Maggi Mixture
- 1 packet Maggi Noodles
- 1 packet Maggi Taste Maker
Vegetables
- 1 medium Onion finely chopped
- 1/2 cup Vegetables (optional: cabbage, bell pepper, carrots), chopped
Other Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp Corn Flour
- 2 pinch Salt
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a pan, heat ½ teaspoon of oil. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent. This builds a flavor base for the pakoras.
- Add any optional chopped vegetables and sauté for another minute until slightly softened.
- Cook the Maggi noodles according to package directions. Add the tastemaker. Set aside to cool slightly.
- Gently combine the sautéed onions (and other vegetables, if using) with the cooked Maggi noodles.
- In a bowl, mix the corn flour and salt. Add this mixture to the Maggi and vegetable mixture. Combine thoroughly. The corn flour acts as a binding agent, helping the pakoras hold their shape.
- Heat oil in a wok or deep fryer over medium-high heat. The oil is ready when a small piece of the Maggi mixture sizzles immediately upon contact.
- Carefully drop spoonfuls of the Maggi mixture into the hot oil. Avoid overcrowding the pan. Fry in batches if necessary.
- Fry the pakoras until golden brown and crispy, flipping them halfway through. This ensures even cooking and a beautiful color.
- Remove the pakoras from the oil and place them on a plate lined with absorbent paper to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or ketchup.
