Ingredients
Pumpkin Preparation
- 500 gm Pumpkin thick-skinned pumpkin, and cubed, peeled, seeded
Spice Blend
- 1.5 tsp Salt adjust to taste
- 2 tsp Chili Powder red
- 1 tsp Turmeric Powder haldi
- 1 tsp Mango Powder adds a tangy flavor, amchur, dry
- 2 tsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
- 1 tbsp Onion Paste
- 0.5 tsp Garam Masala
Frying and Serving
- 2 tbsp Rice Flour
- 200 ml Vegetable Oil for frying
- 1 cup Water for boiling pumpkin
Instructions
Prepare the Pumpkin
- Wash and cube the pumpkin. Boil the pumpkin cubes in 1 cup of water for 10 minutes until slightly tender.
Make the Batter
- In a large bowl, combine the boiled pumpkin, salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, dry mango powder, ginger-garlic paste, onion paste, garam masala, and rice flour. Mix well to form a thick batter.
Fry the Fritters
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan or kadai over medium heat. Once hot, carefully drop spoonfuls of the pumpkin batter into the hot oil, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.
