Watermelon & Mint

Liquid & Sweetener

  • 2 cup Water
  • 1/2 cup Lemon Juice freshly squeezed
  • 1/4 cup Simple Syrup or to taste; adjust to your preference. see instructions for making simple syrup.

Seasoning

  • 1/2 tsp Salt kala namak, black, or to taste

Instructions
 

Prepare the Watermelon

  • Cut the watermelon into cubes and remove any seeds.

Blend the Ingredients

  • Combine the watermelon, mint leaves, and 1 cup of water in a blender. Blend until completely smooth.

Strain and Sweeten

  • Strain the blended mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove any pulp or seeds. Stir in the remaining 1 cup of water, lemon juice, simple syrup and black salt.

Make Simple Syrup (optional)

  • Combine 1/2 cup of water and 1/2 cup of sugar in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely. Let cool completely before using.

Chill and Serve

  • Refrigerate the lemonade for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Serve chilled over ice.
