Ingredients
Chicken Keema
- 250 gm Chicken keema, ground
Vegetables
- 500 gm Ridge Gourd also known as tarai; finely chopped
- 1 medium Onion finely chopped
- 1 medium Tomato finely chopped
Spices & Aromatics
- 2 tsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
- 0.5 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 0.5 tsp Chili Powder red
- 1 tsp Garam Masala
- 1.5 tsp Salt or to taste
Other
- 50 ml Vegetable Oil
Instructions
Prepare the Chicken and Vegetables
- Finely chop the ridge gourd and set aside. In a separate bowl, gently mix the ground chicken with half the ginger-garlic paste and half the salt.
Sauté Aromatics
- Heat the oil in a pan or pot over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until softened and lightly golden brown. Add the remaining ginger-garlic paste and sauté for another minute until fragrant.
Cook the Curry
- Add the ground chicken to the pan and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Stir in the turmeric powder and red chili powder. Add the chopped tomato and cook until softened.
Add Ridge Gourd and Simmer
- Add the chopped ridge gourd, remaining salt and stir well to combine. Cover the pan and simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until the ridge gourd is tender. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
Finish and Serve
- Stir in the garam masala. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Serve hot with steamed rice or roti.
