Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large glass jar, combine filtered water, thinly sliced cucumber, and jamun (Indian blackberries). Gently stir to ensure even distribution.

Infusion

  • Secure the jar with a lid and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to fully infuse.

Serving

  • The next morning, pour the infused water into a glass, leaving the solid ingredients behind. Enjoy this refreshing drink throughout the day, replacing plain water or sugary beverages.

Reusing Ingredients

  • For optimal flavor, you can reuse the cucumber and jamun twice by adding fresh water to the jar. After the third use, discard the solids and prepare a fresh batch.

Recipe Notes

Expert Tips

  • For a stronger flavor: Muddle the jamun slightly before adding them to the water.
  • Customize your sweetness: Adjust the number of jamun based on your preferred sweetness level.
  • Enhance the benefits: Add a few mint leaves for an extra refreshing touch and added digestive aid.
  • Make it a spa day: Add a few slices of ginger for an anti-inflammatory boost and a more complex flavor profile.
