  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 1 Onion for garnish, thinly sliced into rings
  • 2-3 Chilies for garnish, green, slit lengthwise
  • 1 Lemon for garnish, cut into wedges

Instructions
 

Prepare the Chicken

  • Wash and pat dry 4 chicken drumsticks. Make a few shallow slashes on each drumstick to help the marinade penetrate.

Marinate the Chicken

  • In a large bowl, combine the chicken drumsticks with 1 cup yogurt, 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1-2 tbsp red chili powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, 1 tbsp garam masala, 1/4 tsp chaat masala, 1/2 tsp black pepper, and 1.5 tsp salt. Mix thoroughly to coat the chicken evenly. Marinate for at least 30 minutes, or preferably longer (up to 4 hours in the refrigerator for best results).

Preheat Oven & Prepare Baking Tray

  • Preheat your oven to 250°C (482°F) for 10 minutes. Lightly grease a baking tray or grill pan with 2 tbsp of oil.

Bake the Tangri Kebabs

  • Arrange the marinated chicken drumsticks on the prepared baking tray in a single layer, ensuring they are not overcrowded. Bake for 20 minutes. Flip the drumsticks, baste with a little oil, and continue baking for another 10 minutes at a reduced temperature of 200°C (392°F).

Garnish & Serve

  • Garnish the cooked Tangri Kebabs with onion rings, slit green chilies, and lemon wedges. Serve hot and enjoy!
