My Bread Baking Story

The day I started Cooking and Baking never imagined that I will ever bake my own Bread and will ever have a bread baking story to talk. Something that I never dreamed of, is a reality today. You should check “About” to know a little more about me.

Necessity is the mother of invention, and this applies well in my case. My journey to baking started on the same note. The news that some cancer-causing chemical was found in Indian Bread was a bummer and an alarm in my head.

I was concerned about the health of my family as Bread is a part of our daily meal. My son loves to have sandwiches in his tiffin and come what may, I just cannot compromise on what goes into my child’s tummy hence ended up not buying bread from the market.

Inspiration

A lot of people have played a crucial role in my bread baking story. Reading food recipes and food related articles, watching cookery shows, specially MasterChef, is my other hobby. I like to give credit to Chef Rakesh Sethi, for my interest in baking.

He hosts a famous cookery show “Tea Time” in the TV Channel “FoodFood”. During my readings, I read an article related to bread and found a recipe to an easy bread loaf. The recipe excited me and I thought of giving it a try. This was the beginning of my journey to baking bread.

It was not an easy journey, though, but patience and support of my family motivated me to stay persistent. Multiple failures in baking that perfect loaf made me think of quitting, but I did not want to prove myself a loser. Remembering “Knowledge brings answers to questions“. I immediately went back to reading Breadology.
