Ingredients
  

  • 3 Turnip peeled, diced into cubes
  • 2 Tomatoes chopped
  • 1 Onion sliced
  • 1 bunch Spinach chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Red Chili Powder to taste
  • ¾ teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • ¾ teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic paste optional
  • ¾ teaspoon cumin seed
  • 3 Green Chilies or red chilies, slit
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • Cilantro finely chopped

Instructions
 

  • In a pan, heat oil.
  • Once the oil is hot, add in the cumin seeds and allow them to sizzle
  • Add sliced onions and sauté it till it changes colour on a medium flame
  • Add ginger and garlic paste for a minute
  • Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt and coriander powder. 
  • Cover and cook for another 2 minutes till done
  • Add turnips, mix it well and cover it and cook on low flame till it 3/4th done
  • Add chopped spinach, green/red chilies and cilantro. Mix well, cover it and cook on low flame till it changes the colour or look like roasted and oil gets separated
  • Serve hot with chapatis or naan
