Whole Green Toor Amti, is a type of lentil and is also known as Pigeon Peas. It is typical Maharashtrian dish, known as TURICHYA DANYANCHI AMTI! It is very simple and easy recipe. Serve Turichya Danyachi Amti with Chapati and Boondi Raita for a delicious weekday meal.

Ingredients
- Whole Green Toor Beans 1 cup
- Chopped Onions ½ cup
- Chopped Tomatoes ¼ cup
- Water 1 ½ cup
- Coriander Leaves ½ cup
- Garlic Cloves 5 to 6
- Dry Red Chillies 2
- Mustard Seeds / Rai ½ tsp
- Cumin Seeds / Jeera ½ tsp
- Asafetida / Hing ¼ tsp
- Red Chilli Powder / Lal Mirchi 1 tsp
- Coriander Powder / Dhaniya ¼ tsp
- Garam Masala ¼ tsp
- Turmeric Powder / Haldi ¼ tsp
- Salt ½ tsp
- Oil 4 tablespoon

Instructions
- In a preheated pan take 2 tablespoon of Oil then add ½ tsp of Cumin Seeds, 1 cup of whole green Toor beans followed and 5 to 6 Garlic Cloves and roast them for 5 min.
- Then grind the roasted beans mixture into the grinder and keep aside.
- Then in same pan take 2 tablespoon of Oil again, to that add ½ tsp of Mustard Seeds, ¼ tsp of Hing, 2 dry Red Chillies, 1/3 tsp of Red Chilli Powder and ¼ tsp of Turmeric Powder and mix well.
- Then add ¼ cup of chopped Onions, sauté for 1 Min then add ¼ cup of chopped Tomatoes and cook until Tomatoes get mashy.
- Then add grinded beans mixture and mix well.
- Furthermore, add ½ tsp of Red Chilli Powder, ¼ tsp of Garam Masala, ¼ tsp of Coriander Powder and ½ tsp of Salt.
- Then add 1 ½ cup of Water and cook the Amti for 5 to 8 Min on medium flame.
- Lastly add freshly chopped Coriander Leaves and serve hot with Roti or Rice.

– You can boil in pressure cooker also in place of roasting the beans.
