Recipe Notes
Expert Tips
- For a richer Thandai flavor, lightly toast the fennel and poppy seeds in a dry pan before adding them to the chocolate.
- If you don't have a double boiler, you can melt the chocolate in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval, to prevent burning.
- Experiment with other nuts and seeds such as cashews, macadamia nuts, or sesame seeds to add variety and texture.
- For a more intense rose flavor, use rose water in addition to or instead of crushed rose petals (add 1/2 teaspoon).
