Ingredients
- Squid (cleaned & cut – 1 cup squid)
- Onion (chopped – 2)
- Tomato (chopped – 2)
- 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste (divided â and)
- 3 tsp Red Chili Powder (divided â)
- 2 tsp Coriander Powder (â)
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder (â)
- leaves Coriander (chopped – 2 tbsp)
- 1 leaves Curry
- Water (â as required)
- 1-2 tsp Salt (or as per taste)
- 3 tbsp Coconut Oil (or oil or any other oil â)
- 1 tbsp Fennel Seeds (crushed)

Instructions
- Pressure cook the squid for 10 minutes with salt, 1 tsp red chili powder, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder and 3/4 tbsp ginger garlic paste. Save the cooked water that is leftover for later use.
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Saute the onions until they turn pink and soft.
- Now add in the remaining ginger garlic paste and curry leaves and saute till the raw smell goes off.
- Add the tomatoes and saute well.
- Next, add turmeric powder, red chili powder and coriander powder. Mix well.
- Now add little water in which the squid was cooked.
- Once it starts to boil, add in the squid too.
- Check salt and add accordingly.
- Add in the crushed fennel seeds and chopped coriander leaves and stir.Cook closed for 5 minutes for the flavors to infuse.
- Have this scrumptious squid roast with appam, roti or even rice.
