About this Recipe

Why do you always want to go with simple Onion and tomato salad while eating food at home, lets try something different and with a twist. It will add new flavor to your lunch or dinner. Beetroot is filling and would help in weight loss if eaten daily as salad.

Ingredients & Quantity
  • 1 Beetroot
  • 1 Onion
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp of lime juice
  • 1 tbsp of Sesame seeds
  • Optional: Can add basil leaves or coriander leaves
How to cook?
  1. Peel the skin of beetroot and boil it . Best way to boil beetroot is to cut it into 2 halves and put it in microwave safe bowl with water. Boil it for 5 minutes or till beetroot becomes soft and tender.
  2. Chop Onion in julienne shape.
  3. Chop Beet root and mix it with onion, add sesame seeds. These seeds would bring crunchiness to the salad. Add Salt and 1 tbsp of lime juice.
  4. Garnish it with the dash of coriander leaves.
