Ingredients for Banana Boston Creme Shot By Celebrity Chef Rakhee Vaswani

  • Ingredients for the banana cake
  • Bananas – 2, mashed
  • Butter – 100 gms
  • All Purpose Flour – 100 gms
  • Castor sugar –100 gms
  • Eggs – 2
  • Baking powder –¼ tsp
  • Vanilla essence – 1 tsp
  • Milk – 50 ml
  • Baking loaf tin – 7-inch
  • Ingredients for the Boston cream
  • Cooked or readymade custard – 1 cup
  • Whipped cream – 1 cup
  • Ingredients for the chocolate sauce
  • Fresh cream – 200 ml
  • Milk chocolate – 400 gms

How to cook Banana Boston Creme Shot By Celebrity Chef Rakhee Vaswani

  1. Method to make Banana Cake: Beat the butter and castor sugar until it is light and creamy. Add the eggs, one at a time.
  2. Fold in the flour along with the baking powder and add a dash of vanilla essence.
  3. Add the mashed bananas. Do not over mix.
  4. Add milk. Pour the batter into a 7-inch loaf tin and bake it in a preheated oven at 170 degrees for 20–25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Method for making Boston cream: Mix the custard and whipped cream and keep aside.
  6. To make Chocolate Sauce: Heat the cream and add the chocolate. Whisk till the chocolate melts.
  7. To assemble: Take fancy shot glasses and add a layer of the banana cake after crumbling it. Pipe a layer of banana cake and Boston cream. Pipe a layer of chocolate sauce, top with another layer of cream and a final sprinkling of cake.
  8. Chef’s Tip Add some Oreo crumbs or brownie bits.
