Ingredients
- 250 gm Cottage Cheese paneer, paneer cut into square pieces
- 1 bunch Spinach
- 1 cup Coriander dhania
- 5 Chilli break into 2, green
- 3 tbsp Yogurt curd
- 1 Onion cut into pieces medium size
- 2 Tomatoes chopped, cut into pieces, medium sized
- 5 pods Garlic nos
- 1 inch Ginger cut into pieces
- 1 tsp Cumin Seed
- 1.5 tsp Salt or as per taste
- 1 tsp Chili Powder red
- 1 tsp Coriander dhania
- 1 tsp Garam Masala
- 2 Cardamom elaichi
- 2 Bay Leaf tej patta
- 2 clove Cloves
- 5 Pepper black, nos
- 3 tbsp Oil
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice optional
Instructions
Prepare the Spice Paste
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan. Add the diced onion, tomatoes, green chilies, garlic, and ginger. Sauté for 30 seconds on high heat.
- Add the spinach and coriander. Cook for 2 minutes on high heat. Let cool completely. Blend into a smooth paste.
Cook the Paneer Hyderabadi
- Heat 2 tbsp oil (or ghee for extra richness) in a deep pan or wok. Add cumin seeds, bay leaves, cardamom pods, cloves, and peppercorns. Sauté until fragrant and cumin seeds begin to splutter.
- Add the prepared spice paste and cook, stirring frequently, until the oil separates from the paste and begins to float on the surface. This will take about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the yogurt, salt, red chili powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Cook for 3 minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally.
- Gently add the paneer cubes, mixing carefully to avoid breaking them. Cook for 2 minutes on low heat.
- Remove from heat and stir in the lemon juice (if using).
- Serve hot with roti, naan, or rice.
