Tasty pointed gourd Pointed gourd (parwal) is good source of minerals, carbohydrates, vitamin A and C. It is good for constipation, low calorie and control blood sugar level. I used in so many ways. Here is the recipe tasty pointed gourd.

Ingredients
  

  • 250 gm pointed gourd
  • ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
  • ½ tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Ginger paste
  • 1 tsp grated coconut
  • 1 tbsp onion paste
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp mustard oil
  • Salt

Instructions
 

  • Peel off the skin of parwal and prick with fork to penetrate the spices.

  • Marinate the parwal with salt and turmeric powder. Then shallow fry the marinated pointed gourd.

  • In the same pan add mustard oil, ginger paste, turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, onion paste, tomato paste. Sprinkle little water and mix all together.

  • Add fried parwal cook another 5 minutes. Serve with any combination.
