Piri Piri means Pepper Pepper or strong pepper.Sauce made from Piri Piri Chilis is called Piri Piri Sauce and it originated in Portugal. It is made from crushed chillies, citrus peel, onion, pepper, garlic, salt, lemon juice, paprika, basil and oregano. Recipes may vary from region to region but the common ingredients are chili, lemon, bay leaf, oil, and red bell peppers. I have also used these ingredients and to bring smoky flavour I have roasted the bell pepper and have used olive oil. These sauce is used for making scrumptious bar be q veg and non veg both.
