Ingredients
- Aachi Ragi Flour – 200 grams
- Idly batter - 3 soup spoon full or rice 3tbspn
- Urad dhal – 100 gram
- Salt
- Required amount of water
- Tomato Carrot Chutney
- for tempering
- Oil – ½ tspn
- Mustard seeds – ½ tspn
- Curry leaves - few
- For grinding
- Ripe Tomato – 3 large
- Carrot - 1 no
- whole red chilli - 2 nos
- Aachi Red chilli pwd - 1/4 tspn
- Garlic - 2 nos
- Ginger - 1/4 inch pc
- Salt
- jaggery - 1/4 inch pc

Instructions
- Soak the urad dhal s for 1 hour.
- Grind the urad dhal to a smooth paste.
- Mix together ragi flour, urad dhal paste, salt and idly batter
- Leave to ferment for at least 8 hours.
- Once the batter is fermented, Grease the oil or ghee in a idly cooker plates and pour the batter, steam cook for 10 minutes. After steaming cut the idlies with help of cookie cutter desire shape.
- Serve hot with coriander chutney, roasted gram chutney, tomato chutney or fish curry, mutton kurma, chicken kurma
- For Carrot Tomato Chutney
- In a mixie add tomato, carrot, garlic, ginger, red chilli pwd, salt, whole red chilli ,jaggery (do not add water) ground well.
- In a pan, heat the oil temper with mustard seeds & curry leaves. Add ground tomato carrot mix and cook for 5 minutes till the water absorb.
- Healthy Tomato carrot chutney is ready to serve.
