Instructions
- For the dough: In a bowl mix together four cups flour, salt 1 tsp, caster sugar 1 tsp, milk powder 2 tbs, yeast 1 tbs, oil 4 tbs, egg 1
- Knead to medium soft dough with slightly warm water. leave to rise for one hour. divide the dough into 2 or 3 portions depending on how you want the Loaves. proceed with the viewing the subsequent steps to see how the bread is shaped:
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle shape. brush some softened butter over it
- Put your filling in the centre of the rectangle and makes slits on both of the longer sides
- Start bringing the topmost slit ends across from each other alternately
- Keep going. remember to alternate in a criss cross fashion - left to right, right to left
- When you reach the end leave a tail at the bottom just for the appearance. you can just tuck everything neatly in if you like but I prefer to have that bit of a tail at the bottom of the loaf
- Grease a tray and place your breads
- Apply egg wash and Sprinkle the sesame seeds. then bake in a preheated oven at 200 degree centigrade for about 25 minutes or until done
- Right after taking out of the oven apply butter well on hold breath and let it rest covered with a cloth the cloth for 2 to 3 minutes to soften the bread completely.
- Enjoy your delicious chicken bread 😀
