Hummus full Arabic name: hummus bi tahini Arabic is a Levantine dip or spread made from cooked, mashed chickpeas or other beans, blended with tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, salt and garlic. popular in the Middle East and in Middle Eastern cuisine around the globe.. Hummus" comes from the Arabic word meaning "chickpeas. Hummus goes well with veg salad, chips, nachos, crackers or burgers, sandwiches. In this recipe I have used cooked beetroot along with cooked chickpeas blended using some spices. It goes well with veg salad or sandwiches.

Ingredients
  

  • Boiled Chickpeas – ½ cup
  • Cooked Beetroot – ½ cup
  • Tahini Sauce – 1 tbsp
  • Lemon juice – 2 tsp
  • Garlic clove – 2-3
  • Roasted cumin powder – 1 tsp
  • Freshly ground black paper – 1 tsp
  • Olive oil or any vegetable oil- 1/2 tbsp
  • Salt

Instructions
 

  • Add all ingredients into blender. Blend it into a smooth paste.
  • Serve with crackers or nachos.
  • Store in an airtight container and transfer in refrigerator. Consume within two days.
