Restaurant Style Vegetable Handi Biryani

Handi biryani veg is a favourite of everyone whose a vegetarian . This restaurant style handi biryani is my version of veg handi biryani and delicious sumptuous meal for all ages .

  • 1 1/2 cup cooked plain rice
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 1/2 cup french beans
  • 1/2 cup carrots sliced
  • Potatoes 1 no
  • Green peas 1/4 cup
  • Onions 2 nos sliced and deep fried
  • 1 cup curd
  • cloves 5 in no
  • Cinnamon 1 inch
  • Black cardamom 1
  • Ginger garlic paste 1/2 tbsp
  • Cashew nuts for garnish
  • Tumeric 1/2 tsp
  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Pudina and dhaniya leaves 1/2 cup
  • Milk 1/2 cup


  • Steam all the vegetables together for 5 minutes and keep aside . After it cools down to it add curd ginger garlic paste tumeric red chilli powder and dhaniya pudina leaves and all other spices ( khada masalas ) . mix well
  • To the cooked white rice very carefully add the vegetables mixture so that the rice doesn't break .
  • Take a thick bottomed pan add ghee and the rice mixture add a little milk and on low flame cover and cook for 5 to 7 minutes
  • Serve hot garnish with fried onions and fried cashew nuts


Use basmati rice instead of the regular rice
Can add vegetables of choice
