Recipe Notes

Additional Tips

  • For an extra depth of flavor, lightly roast the jujube and ginger in a dry pan before blending; this enhances their natural sweetness and adds a subtle nuttiness to the drink.
  • To make a chilled, slushy version perfect for summer, freeze the jujubes after pitting and blend them with the other ingredients and ice cubes for a thicker, frostier texture.
  • If you prefer a natural sweetener, substitute jaggery or honey for sugar; jaggery especially complements the earthy notes of jujube and blends well with the warming spices.
  • Garnish each glass with a thin slice of fresh ginger or a cinnamon stick for an elegant presentation and a burst of fragrance as you sip.
