Honey Touch Barley Payasam

Barley is good for blood pressure and blood sugar. It improves lipid profile and reduces cholesterol. In this payasam recipe I used honey for sweetness but those who are prohibited from sweet they should avoid the sweetness. For normal sweet-tooth honey is better than sugar.

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp barley
- 50 gm milk
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon rice flour
- 2 tbsp dry fruits
- 2 teaspoon desiccated coconut
- 2 teaspoon honey
- 1/2 teaspoon green cardamom powder

Instructions
- Soak the barley for half an hour. Boil the milk.
- Add the soaked barley and cook until soft.
- Then add dry fruits, coconut and cardamom powder. Cook another 5 minutes. Then switch off the flame add honey and serve the honey touch barley payasam.
