Cajun Potatoes

Cajun potatoes is one of the popular food item we love to have whenever we visit Barbeque Nation. Cajun potatoes can be easily prepared at home and tastes similar to what we get at Barbeque Nation. So try your hands at home through my recipe of Cajun potatoes.

  • 1 tbsp Mixed Herbs
  • 1/2 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tbsp red chilli flakes
  • 1/4 tbsp red chilli powder/paprika
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powd
  • 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 medium size onion finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • 8 to 10 small size/baby potatoes parboiled
  • 1/2 tbsp cornflour
  • 3 to 4 tbsp cooking oil
  • Finely chopped cilantro to garnish
  • Salt


  • Prepare cajun spice mix with mixed herbs, garlic powder, red chilli flakes, red chilli powder, black pepper powder and salt to taste
  • Parboil potatoes for 3 whistles at medium flame
  • Prepare cajun mayonnaise with cajun spice, tomato ketchup, chopped onions, roasted cumin powder and mayonnaise and rest it for 10 to 15 minutes
  • Now press the potatoes with your palm and flatten them and don't peel off the skin. Dust the potatoes with corn flour
  • In a pan add 3 to 4 tbsp oil and heat it nicely and then add 4 to 5 potatoes at a time. Flip and fry for around 10 minutes at medium to high flame until golden brown
  • Once potatoes are nice and crisp transfer it to a serving plate and cover it with cajun mayonnaise mix, Garnish it with chopped onions and cilantro. Serveit hot and enjoy.
