Beetroot Balls are very healthy and delicious starter. The beautiful purple color itself draws kids attention to try out this snack. This recipe is very similar to other veg patties we usually make. I added gram flour and all purpose flour of equal amount to bind the vegetables.
You can try with adding rice flour and some bread crumbs as well. Vegetables and dry flour combination are totally up to your choice. Its very simple and easy to make. Please give a try, you wont get disappointed.

Instructions

  • Get all the ingredients ready. Take 1 cup of grated beetroot in a mixing bowl.Add chopped onion, bell pepper, coriander leaves, ajwain, cumin seeds and salt. Mix everything well.
  • Now add the dry flours to bind the vegetables. I added 2 tbsp of gram flour and all purpose flour. You can add more, in case you feel it is watery.
  • Once the mixture is ready, Take a heavy bottomed pan and add oil into it. Heat on medium flame. Now prepare the balls from the mixture.
  • Once the oil is heated, drop the balls. Flip the sides and allow it to cook well. Here we won’t see much difference in color, So make sure to become crisp and then take out.
  • Rest on the paper towel for a few mins to drain the excess oil.
  • Once it is done, serve with ketchup or Curd. Yummy beetroot balls are ready to serve.
