Gaati kochu bharta (taroroots)

Taroroot is a starchy vegetables used in variety of cuisines around the world. it has a mild nutty taste and healthier alternative to other root vegetables like potatoes. It is commonly used in Savory dishes and also add to get a creamy texture. Here I am sharing a simple bharta recipe which is very simple and healthier.

Ingredients
- 200 gm taro root kochu
- 1 onion small, chopped
- 7 to 8 cloves garlic
- 5 to 6 green chilies
- 2 to 3 red chili whole
- 2 tablespoon poppy seeds
- 2 tablespoon mustard oil
- Salt to taste

Instructions
- Wash and boil taro roots then peel off the skin and mash them.
- Make a paste with poppy seeds ( posta), garlic cloves and green chillies.
- Take a tempering ladle heat oil roast red chilli and take out.
- Then fry the chopped onion just to remove the raw smell and to make the bharta more tasty.
- Now take a mixing bowl crush the roasted red chilli add salt, mashed taro roots, posta paste and fried onion.
- Mix all together and add raw mustard oil. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves roasted red chili.
