Ingredients
  

  • Chicken- 1/2kg
  • Onion- 3medium
  • Ginger and garlic paste- 1.5tbsp
  • Tomatoes- 2medium
  • Salt
  • Haldi- 1/2tsp
  • Red chili powder- 1/2tsp
  • Cumin powder- 1/2tsp
  • Coriander powder- 1/2tsp
  • Garam masala - 1tsp
  • Bay leaf- 1
  • Cinnamon- 1inch piece
  • Green Cardamom- 3
  • Clove- 4
  • Fennel- 1/2tsp
  • Green chili- 2chopped
  • Vinegar- 1tbsp
  • Sugar- 1/2tsp optional
  • Whole bread- 2
  • Oil- 3tbsp
  • Chopped Coriander leaves- 3tbsp
  • Potatoes- 3medium

Instructions
 

  • Cut the whole bread into half. Then scope out the middle portion of the bread making a cavity and keep aside
  • Wash and clean chicken. Chop onions, tomatoes and green chili. Clean potatoes and cut into half
  • Heat oil in a kadai, add all the whole spices and let it crackle.
  • Then add chopped onion to it and saute up to golden brown. Then add ginger and garlic paste and saute again.
  • Now add all the spices,vinegar and sugar( if adding), saute up to oil separates
  • Add the chicken to it and start cooking. Shen pieces are cover and coated with spices, add potatoes to it and saute again.
  • Cook this up to dry in high flame. Stir it very frequently
  • Now add water to cover the pieces. Cover it and cook up to chickren is soft and potato is cooked
  • Bring the holed bread, pour a ladel full of chicken curry in that cavity with chicken pieces, potato and gravy. In the side serve some salad or pickle
