This is a very very healthy recipe for breakfast . These tikkis are loaded with goodness of oats and moong dal .this recipe is inspire by tarla dalal mam .

Ingredients
  

  • Quick cooking oats 1/2 cup +1/4 cup
  • Yellow moong dal 1/4 cup
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 1 carrot grated
  • Dry mango powder 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Dry mint powder 1tsp
  • Salt
  • Oil for shallow frying
  • Milk 4_5 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves half cup finely chopped

Instructions
 

  • 1 - soak moong dal for 20 minutes .
  • Meanwhile dry roast the 1/2 cup oats in a pan for 5 minutes , without getting it burnt. When oats becomes cool make into a fine powder in a mixer .
  • Now drain and wash the moon dal . Cook the moong dal till it becomes soft . No need to pressure cook it if u soak the moong dal for about 20 minutes. So cook it on open flame it will be done in 10 minutes .
  • Cook until excess water of dal is evoparate nicely . Allow this to cool .
  • Grind moong dal coarsely without adding water .
  • Take a big bowl add coarse moong dal mixture , add oats powder , chopped onion , carrot , corainder leaves , and all dry spices .
  • Combine all things nicely , if mixture is dry then add 2 - 3 tbsp milk into it . Make small tikkis with it .

  • Dip in milk and roll tikkis in the dry oats ( 1/4 cup which I have mentioned in ingredients .
  • Place these tikkis on tawa and cook it by adding little oil on both sides till it becomes golden brown. Serve with any chutney or sause of your choice .

Notes

If u want to deep fry these tikkis u can . Then no need to dip in milk . Just a ke tikkis and deep dry them .
