Chilly Idli is a wonderful weekend snack. I normally store all the left over idli in the freezer and prepare variety of snacks using these leftovers Idlies.

Ingredients
- 5 to 6 Rice Idlies
- 1 Large Onion Chopped into Cubes
- 2 Large Bell Peppers Chopped into Cubes
- 3 Tbsp Tomato Puree
- 1 Tbsp Green Chilly Paste
- 1 Tbsp Ginger and Garlic Paste
- 3 Green Chilies
- 2 Dried Red Chilies
- 2 Sprigs Curry Leaves
- 4 Tbsp Corn Flour
- 1/4 teaspoon Garam Masala
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 1 Tbsp Soya Sauce
- 1 teaspoon Vinegar
- 1 Tbsp Chilly Powder
- Salt
- Oil for frying

Instructions
- Use a day old Idly for this recipe. Start by chopping the idlies into equal bite size cubes and add to a mixing bowl.
- Add corn flour and 4 tbsp water along with salt as per taste mix till the idlies are coated in the corn flour batter.
- Heat oil in a wok for frying.
- Gently drop the idly cubes one at a time fry in batches of 8 to 9 cubes until the idlies turn golden in color. Drain from oil and reserve on paper towels.
- Heat a pan on medium flame add 3 tbsp oil. Once the oil is hot add chopped onion, curry leaves, green chilies, dried red chilies, ginger and garlic paste fry until the onion turn light pink in color.
- Add bell peppers(capsicum), soya sauce, green chilly paste, garam masala, turmeric, chilly powder and tomato puree fry all the ingredients for a minute.
- Add 3 tbps water and salt stir and allow the moisture to reduce. Once the oil surfaces on the masala add the fried idlies and toss garnish with coriander , mint, vinegar or lime juice... Serve hot...Enjoy
