A yummy and an innovative dish that is deep fried and just melts in mouth. One of the most gorgeous halwa is used by me in these sweet buns. The filling of luscious gaajar ka halwa makes all the difference and makes it all the more a delectable dessert or a brunchie. It can be served to kids as an afterschool snack too.

  • Add yeast and milk to a bowl. Stir it gently and allow it to prove for 5 minutes.
  • Add flour and olive oil to a mixing bowl. Stir in the yeast mix and knead a smooth dough. Cover and keep it in a warm place for nearly 2 hours.
  • After 2 hours, pinch medium sized balls from the dough. Roll each one into a circle and place about 2 tablespoons full of halwa in the centre.
  • Start folding from the edges towards the centre and make a medium sized ball. Likewise make all the buns and deep fry in hot oil on a low to medium high heat.
  • Serve hot or warm as desired. These can be served with a glass of milk to the kids after school for a nutritious evening snack to pep up their dull spirits and provide them the needed energy to wind up their day on a good note.
