Dry roast mustard seeds and Fenugreek seeds till they start crackling. Let it cool completely
Prepare a fine powder of roasted mustard seeds and Fenugreek seeds
Heat some oil and cook tomatoes till soft
Add red chilli powder, salt to taste, tamarind and prepared powder. Mix well and cook
In a separate pan, heat oil and add some mustard seeds, curry leaves , chana dal, urid dal, whole red chilies, crushed garlic cloves. Prepare a flavouful tempering
Add this tempering or tadka in to cooking tomato pickle and mix well ..and switch off heat and allow it to cool
Very tempting Nilava Tomato Pachadi or Andhra style tomato pickle is ready
By adding some more oil, it can be preserved for whole year and can be relished any time
