Rajgira tikki (amaranth) Rajgira is an amazing food for weight loss. In hindi it is called ramdana. Amaranth is high in protein and it has nutrients like calcium, iron, magnesium phosphorus and potassium. It has low calorie and it is gluten free. I made Rajgira tikki which can be served during fasting period. I soaked the seeds then made a paste with adding peanuts, green chilies, coriander leaves and rock salt.Then mixed with boiled potatoes and boiled arbi which is perfect for navratri vrat or other fasting. Other than fasting also it can be consumed in our normal diet.I made a coconut chutney with adding fresh coconut, peanuts, green chillies, coriander leaves, lemon juice and rock salt.

Ingredients
- ¼ cup Rajgira seeds
- ¼ cup peanuts
- ¼ cup chestnut flour
- 2 potatoes (boiled )
- 2 arbi (boiled)
- 1-2 Green Chillies
- 8-10 Coriander
- Desi Ghee (homemade preferred)
- Rock salt (to taste)

Instructions
- Soak the Rajgira seeds for 4 to 5 hours. Boil the potato and arbi.
- Now make a paste with adding Rajgira seeds, peanuts, green chillies, coriander leaves and rock salt.
- Take a mixing bowl add boiled potatoes, boiled arbi, mixed Rajgira paste.
- Slowly add chestnut flour to give binding touch like a dough. Take one handful dough give tikki shape.
- Then shallow fry with homemade ghee. Both sides should have a light appearance. Then serve with coconut chutney.
- After fasting next day normally people feel weakness. If you eat this type of recipe definitely you will not feel hungry.
