Kulith pithale is horse gram flour curry. This is a Maharashtrian recipe, it's tasty and gets ready in a jiffy. According to Ayurveda horse gram is known to have properties which aids weight loss. It also has numerous other health benefits like helps in boosting immunity, helps to reduce blood glucose level, relieves constipation etc.

Ingredients
- Horse gram flour 1/4 cup
- Mustard seeds 1/2 teaspoon
- Curry leaves 1 spring
- Onion 1 medium, chopped
- Garlic 4-5 pods
- Tomato 1 medium, chopped
- Green chilies 2, chopped
- Asafoetida 1/4 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
- Salt
- Coriander leaves chopped
- Lime juice 1 tablespoon (optional)
- Refined oil 1 tablespoon

Instructions
- In a pan add oil, to that mustard seeds. When the seeds splutters add onion and curry leaves.
- When onions turn translucent add garlic followed by tomatoes and green chilies.
- When the tomatoes turn mushy add Asafoetida, turmeric powder, salt.
- Mix horse gram flour in little water and add to the pan.
- Add 1 cup water and let it simmer till the horse gram is cooked and the curry thickens.
- Add chopped coriander leaves, lime juice and turn off the flame. Serve hot with rice or like a soup.
Notes
vegetablesof your choice can also be added to make it more nutritious.
