green cardamom powder

for stuffing:

grated fresh coconut

oil for deep frying
Instructions
to make stuffing: in a frying pan, add grated coconut, sugar and cardamom powder
fry it until sugar melts and the mixture becomes little dry
turn off the flame and keep it aside
to make outer layer: in another pan add water and sugar, boil it
when it starts boiling, add semolina stirring continuously to avoid forming lumps
add oil and cardamom powder
cook this mixture for a minute
remove from flame and keep aside
wait till the dough cools down to room tempreture
knead for few seconds to make the dough soft
make small balls from the dough, flatten slighlty and put stuffing to it, then roll it again to make a ball
make the balls into flat shape in between your palms
heat oil in a kadai and deep fry the flatten balls on medium flame till it turns golden brown from each side
kakara pitha is ready, serve hot or cool
