Mustard seeds and Urad dal for seasoning and Baking soda or Eno fruit salt
Instructions
Mix the flours and the sooji with salt in a broad bowl and add the curd and mix well.
Bring it into pouring consistency by adding necessary water.
Heat a pan with 2 tea spoons of oil and saute it with mustard seeds and urad dal.
After they splutter add onions and stir for few seconds and add the grated carrot, green chillies, pepper powder, salt to taste, curry leaves and coriander leaves.
Give two or three stirs and allow them to cool.
transfer them to the batter and mix well.
Heat the Ape/Kuzhipaniyaram pan and greasen them with oil.
While the pan gets heated add a pinch of baking soda or 1/4 tea spoon of eno fruit salt and mix well.
Then fill the Kuzhipaniyaram pan with the batter and cook on both the sides till they become golden brown.
Serve hot with any chutney.
