Boondi Raita

Boondi raita is the most indian raita prepared with curd, boondi, salt, roasted cumin powder etc. Boondi are tiny fried gram flour balls, they are available in grocery shops. Boondi are salted and crisp.

Salted or plane boondi 1 cup
Curd 1/2 kg
Roasted cumin powder 2 tsp
Red chili powder 1 tsp or to taste
Finely chopped green chili 2 no
Chopped coriander 1 tbsp
Salt
Black salt 1/2 tsp
Heeng powder 1/2 tsp
Finely chopped mint leaves or powdered mint
For tempering ----Pinch of heeng
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Red chili powder 1/2 tsp
Ghee 1tsp
Instructions
Whisk
yogurt till smooth.
Add salt,black salt,cumin pwoder,chili,green chili,and heeng.
Now add boondi, mix well. heat the ghee in a tadka pan add heeng, cumin and red chili powder as the splutter pour the tadka in raita.
coriander and mint ,cool it and serve with pulao,biryani or stuffed paratha.
