Cook healthy with Honey Recipe Contest : Carrot & Banana oats Energy Hearts/bars is a complete healthy baked snack. It has the wellness of carrot, honey, banana and dark chocolate chips. This is a no sugar recipe.
Melt butter using double boiler method and allow it to cool completely
Add Honey and gently mix the mashed banana and carrot.
Stir the oats mixture to the above honey butter mixture.
If the mixture is dry add few tablespoons of milk as required
Preheat oven @180c
Align a parchment sheet on a baking tray.
Pour & press the prepared mixture evenly using a spatula.
Bake @ 180c for 30 mins
Allow it to cool completely. Slice into small rectangle bars or use a heart cookie cutter.
Drizzle chocolate sauce(optional) and serve.
Notes
Store the sliced bars or hearts in an airtight container. It stays good for 2 – 3 days.Chocolate chips can be skipped if needed. In that case add 1 more tablespoon of honey.
