OOMugi Barley
Carrots
Beans
Cabbage
Any other vegetables as per your preference
Butter
Ginger garlic paste
Salt
Red chilli powder
Turmeric Powder
Black pepper
Instructions
Soak the Barley for about an hour and drain the water
Take a Pan with some oil. After the oil is heated, add the vegetables starting with carrots as they might take more time to soften
Add ginger garlic paste to the veggies and saute them well.
Add salt as per seasoning required. Add a pinch of turmeric and mix well
Add red chilli powder and mix the ingredients well. Let the vegetables cook for 4 to 5 minutes in low flame.
Add the soaked barley and mix well.
Add around 3 cups of water or as per the number of servings needed corresponding to the vegetable portions used.
Cover the pan and let it cook for about 10 mins or until the barley is done.
Once the barley is cooked, add black pepper and let the soup
simmer
for a few minutes. Serve hot !
