sama rice (Washed and soaked in enough water for 30 minutes)
1/2
Cup
Sugar (you can add or less as per your taste)

Full Fat Milk

Cashewnuts
chopped

Raisins

Almonds

Few Saffron strands
soaked in 2 tbsp warm milk - optional
2-3
drops of kewra essence
Instructions
In a heavy bottom pan, add milk and turn on the gas.
When the milk starts boiling, add sama rice and reduce the flame to medium and cook till sama rice is cooked and the mixture becomes thick.
Now add sugar, soaked saffron strands, half of dry fruits and cook for another 5 to 7 minutes. Add kewra essence remove it from heat.
Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with the remaining dry fruits and serve warm or chilled.
Notes
You can adjust the thickness of kheer as per your taste.
