In a pressure cooker,put 2 tablespoon oil and cook the onion till light brown.
Add the tomatoes.
Add all masalas, ginger-garlic paste, green chilli, salt.
Fry very well.
Add the dal.
Fry on slow flame for 10 minutes.
Add water and on full flame cook for 3 whistles.
Serve hot with Puris / Roti / Parathas
