Lemon butter garlic prawn is the most easiest and flavoured prawn dish.you can make this luxurious tasting dish within few minutes.
These creamy lemon butter garlic prawns are so delicious, you’ll want to suck out the last drop of juice from your plate.
Prawns will be grilled with the shells on.Leaving the shells on help to keep them moist and flavourful.If you wish you can remove head,but I love chewing grilled prawn's head so I did not remove.
Wooden skewers-4small 2(Big..break one skewer from middle to make it two)
2tablespoonsbuttermelted
2teaspoonlemon juice
1 -2garlic cloveminced
1tablespoonchopped parsley or dil or Pinch dried parsley
Salt & ground black pepperto taste
1/2teaspoonvegetable oil
Lemon wedge for garnishing
Ingredients For lemon Butter sauce---Butter-1/2cup
Lemon Juice-4tbsp
Garlic Pods -4 minced
Salt to taste Pepper to tast
Fresh Parsleychopped - 1 tsp
Instructions
Clean the prawns under running water properly.
To devein prawn,you can either use knife to make a slight cut on the upper part of flesh or just scrap the flesh lightly and pull off the vein.
Insert a skewer from tail to head. This results in a perfectly straight prawn once the skewer has been removed.
In a bowl, combine garlic, butter, parsley or dil leaves , salt, pepper, lemon juice, and red chilli flakes. ..mix well...
Place the prawns in this mixture.Rub prawns with spices. Cover or seal and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes hour.
After 30 minutes ,Remove prawns from fridge.
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C)...keep the oven on grill mode.
Take a grilling rack lined with aluminium foil,
Place the prawns on it .Brush little vegetable oil over the prawns. Place this rack on the top section of the the preheated oven.
Grill 5 minutes per side or until until shells are bright red or prawns flesh is easily flaked with a fork.Do not overcook otherwise prawns will become hard .
Transfer to a serving plate...serve with Lemon butter sauce .
METHOD OF MAKING LEMON BUTTER SAUCE
Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add chopped garlic. .lemon juice, salt, pepper and parsley flakes. Bring to a boil. Cook and stir about 10 minutes, until thickened.
Pour the sauce over the grilled prawns .sprinkle chopped parsley or dil leaves and serve .
Notes
if you do not have oven you can pan fried the prawns.
Instead of using parsley or dil leaves,you can use chopped coriander.
