This dish is a traditional Sindhi cusine which is served during breakfast . It's pakwans are made from maida dough an the dal which we have used is Bengal gram dal( channe ki dal)
In a bowl add maida add salt, semolina,jeera an make a dough with the help of warm water an cover it an keep aside. Soak channe ki dal for half an hour.
In the pressure cooker add oil fry jeera, green chillies,curry leaves let it crackle then add chopped onions fry nicely till light pink. Then add salt, turmeric pd, garam masala pd,bengal gram dal an water an pressure cook it for 6to8 whistles
Then take a small piece of dough roll it like roti shape. Take a fork an start pricking on the roti from both the sides . Then deep fry it till crispy light brown .
Place the pakwans in a plate ,in a separate bowl add the cooked Bengal gram dal garnish with chopped coriander leaves ,chopped onions, tamarind chutney, spicy green chutney an serve
Notes
The pakwans can be made from wheat flour but what taste you get in refined flour it’s totally different . If you don’t want spicy in the dal avoid using green chillies.
