½ cup finger millet vermicelli
½ litre milk
½ cup organic sugar
A generous pinch of cardamom powder
2
tablespoon
cashew nuts
2
tablespoon
raisins

Almonds

teaspoon
MTR Badam milk powder
optional
Ghee as required
Saffron strands for decoration
Instructions
Soak almonds in little hot water for 30 minutes.
Heat 1 teaspoon of ghee and
roast
finger millet vermicelli.
Heat another teaspoon of ghee, fry cashew nuts and raisins. Set aside.
Peel the almonds and grind them to a coarse paste.
Boil the milk, add roasted finger millet vermicelli.
Allow the vermicelli to cook in the boiled milk for 4 - 5 minutes.
Add the almond paste and cook for another 2 minutes in low flame.
Add sugar and stir the mixture until sugar dissolves.
Turn off the flame; add cardamom powder, MTR badam milk powder and fried nuts & raisins.
Mix in few saffron strands and transfer to a serving bowl.
Notes
If you are not using MTR badam milk powder, just increase sugar by 2 more teaspoons if you prefer.
