Instant Ragi idli is a steamed idli recipe prepared from finger millet. Instant Ragi idli is an easy and quick recipe prepared with just few ingredients. I have used rice flour but here you can substitute rice with semolina, it is equally delicious and healthy. This recipe does not require soaking, grinding or fermentation process. Ragi is a very healthy food and it has good source of proteins and minerals.
Take the rice flour, ragi flour, salt, baking Soda and Curd in mixing bowl. Pour water slowly and make a smooth batter. The batter should not be too thin.
Keep the batter aside for 10-15 mins. In the meantime grease the idli moulds.
Now pour ladleful of batter into each mould and place it in a steamer. Steam it for 10-12 mins till it is done.
Remove it and leave it to cool for 5 mins and serve with any Chutney, Sambar or Curries of your choice.
