Whether it's winter or summer or any weather for the matter, I just love ice cream.. so a delightful home made ice cream for tonight..
Made, "STRAWBERRY ICECREAM"...
Heat the milk and sugar together while simmering it. Meanwhile whisk the egg yolks with sugar till it forms like a yellowish paste
Now slowly add the hot milk+ sugar mixture into the yolk mixture while whisking it so that it does not curdle.
Once mixed, pour back the mixture into the saucepan, and cook on a low flame, making sure it does not boil otherwise the eggs in the mixture will get scrambled. Add the vanilla extract as well to it. Cool the mix and refrigerate.
Whisk the cream to form fluffy mix, I have used Amul whipped cream for the same. Chill it in the fridge.
Now mix the strawberry preserve to the milk custard mix, then fold in the whipped cream into it. Freeze this mixture.
After an hour, just mix the mixture with a spoon and freeze again. Do this twice and then serve when set .
