Paneer Jalfrezi basically is an Indian style stir-fry dish which tastes delicious and looks beautiful. A low-calorie paneer dish that has contrasting textures with melt in the mouth soft paneer and the bell peppers provide a flavourful crunch. It makes for a wonderful filling with wraps and a good side dish with chappatis.
Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds and saute for 30 seconds, add chopped onions and saute for 2 minutes, add ginger paste and saute.
Add 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder and salt and add chopped tomatoes, 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder,1 teaspoon tomato puree and saute till oil separates from side of pan wall. Now are onion masala is ready.
Heat 2 teaspoon oil in a non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds, dry red chilies, chopped green chili, ginger julienne and saute.
Add sliced onion and toss, add tomato strips and toss, add capsicum strips and toss then add onion masala, 2 tablespoon tomato ketchup, salt, 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon garam masala and mix well.
Add paneer strips and chopped coriander and toss and mix well. Our paneer jalfrazi is ready to serve.
